Nuffield Mathematics teaching resources are for use in secondary and further education

Using Nuffield Mathematics resources with other qualifications

The majority of Nuffield Mathematics resources are about using mathematics in real-life contexts. They can be used in traditional courses such as GCSE and GCE A level as well as newer qualifications such as Core Maths. There are three levels:

Level 1

Level 1 resources are grouped into three topic areas: Money management, Spatial techniques, and Using data. The demand is roughly equivalent to that in Foundation Level GCSE and Level 1 Functional Mathematics.

Level 2

Level 2 resources are grouped into four topic areas: Financial calculations, Shape and space, Data handling and Algebra, and graphs. The demand is roughly equivalent to that in Higher Level GCSE and Level 2 Functional Mathematics.

Level 3

Level 3 resources are grouped into seven topic areas: Personal finance, Data analysis, Algebra, Calculus, Dynamics, Decision maths, and Hypothesis testing. The demand is roughly equivalent to that in GCE A level.
