The six new advisors are providing guidance and oversight on project exploring the lives of young people
We’re delighted to be working with six external advisors on our new project, Grown up? Journeys to adulthood.
Professor Jason Arday, Dr Dawn Branley-Bell, Dr Ann Hagell, Martin Kelly OBE, Professor Eamon McCrory, and Donna Molloy OBE, bring a depth and breadth of research, practice, and policy expertise in areas including adolescent health and well-being, neuroscience, and young people in care.
Together, they will:
- Support with advice and insights on the project’s direction
- Give feedback on outputs
- Advise on engagement and outreach
- Help amplify impact
The external advisors are in addition to an internal Steering Group, which includes two Nuffield Foundation trustees.
Grown up? is exploring young people’s complex journey through adolescence to adulthood in a rapidly changing world, with a focus on three themes – education to work, digital lives, and mental health and well-being.
The project will investigate the challenges they face, ensure young people’s voices are heard, and strengthen the evidence base that underpins policy decisions affecting their lives.
The skills and knowledge of our new advisors provide valuable insight to Grown up? as we seek to better understand young people’s journey to independence and adulthood.Carey Oppenheim, Grown up? Project Lead
